Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed–Mubarak received the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Berenice Owen-Jones, at his office in Accra. The meeting provided a platform for both parties to discuss areas of mutual interest and explore opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Minister and the High Commissioner exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation in areas such as security, governance, and economic development. They also discussed potential areas of collaboration between the Interior Ministry and Australian agencies, including law enforcement, border management, and disaster management.
Hon. Muntaka expressed his appreciation for the strong relationship between Ghana and Australia and emphasised the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries.
H.E. Berenice Owen-Jones, in turn, reaffirmed Australia’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s development agenda and strengthening bilateral ties.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to explore concrete areas of collaboration and to work towards strengthening the relationship between Ghana and Australia.
