The Minister for Interior and National Security, Hon Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, has commissioned a newly built Ultra Modern office for the Ghana Immigration Service at Mamping in the Ashanti Region.
According to Hon. Muntaka, the ultra modern office building, will serve as the headquarters for the Mampong Sector Command, providing a formidable working environment for personnel. He added that the brand-new Nissan pick-up vehicle will significantly enhance the mobility and operational efficiency of the Ghana Immigration Service in the region.
Speaking at the commissioning of a new office building and the donation of a Nissan pick-up vehicle at Mampong in the Ashanti Region for the Ghana Immigration Service, the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, reaffirmed government’s commitment to bolstering national security and strengthening border security and management in the country.
The Minister also stressed the government’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of security personnel and improve national security. He highlighted the need for modern infrastructure, capacity building, and provision of modern equipment and logistics to support the Ghana Immigration Service in discharging its mandate effectively.
The Minister for Interior and National Security commended the Chief Executive Officer of VIP Transport Services, Mr. Yaw Amponsah Marfo, for the construction of an office accommodation and donation of a brand new pick-up vehicle for the Ghana Immigration Service and said the donation exemplifies the power of public-private partnerships in national development and enhancing security infrastructure.
Finally, the Member of Parliament for Asawase constituency, also praised the Ghana Immigration Service for their good work and dedication, which has improved the country’s border security and management, saying that without security, there cannot be development and stability.
