Head coach of Hassacas Ladies Yusif Basigi has spoken about their intentions and targets heading into the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Ghanaian champions will represent the country at continental level later this month for the first edition of this competition.
Originally, it was made to be honoured in 2020 but had to pushed to this year due to Covid-19
The ‘Hasmal Ladies’ starts the zonal qualifiers in Cote D’Ivoire where they will be coming up against Nigerian giants Rivers Angels and AS Police de Niamey from Niger in Group B.
Winner qualifiers for the main tournament in Egypt. Heading into this tourney, the ex- Black Princesses gaffer Yusif Basigi has revealed their main aim is to qualify for the main event and are very determined and poised to achieve that.
“Our objective is to qualify for the main tournament in Egypt meaning that we are going to qualify. Ghanaian football is of the best quality but it does not mean that Nigeria is underestimated,” the Coach was quoted by CAF’s website.
The ‘Doo lads’ just recently, defeated Ampem Darkoa Ladies twice to complete the double by winning both the Women’s League and the FA Cup.
