Captain of Bibiani Goldstars, Zia Hul Haq, has waxed lyrical on the Management of the club in ensuring the team survive and leave a lasting impact in the Ghana Premier League beyond the 2021/22 season.
Bibiani Goldstars secured qualification into the Ghanaian top-flight league for the first time in the club’s history after winning the Zone 2 of the Division One League last season.
The Bibiani-based side secured entrance in the Premier League after several attempts and are putting pieces together to ensure the club leave beyond the impending season.
The club’s effort to renovate the the home grounds before the end of last season together with improved player welfare and strengthening of the technical team is enough to convince Zia Hul Haq, that the team is in to stay.
“With the kind of structures the team is putting together, it speaks volume of how intent the club wants to stay in the Ghana Premier League because most of the club qualify but do not have the requisite structures to aid them survive the league,” he told Haske Sports.
“Unlike us, renovation works have started at the Duns Park which has changed our training patterns. At the Management level, they are working tirelessly to support us financially.”
“At the playing level, we’ve had changes at the technical department and qualities are brought in to augment the old ones. We’ll need just luck to supplement what’s already going on to last long in the Ghanaian top-flight league.”
The Ghana Football Association have announced October 29, 2021 as the date for the start of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
