Ghanaian giants, Hearts of Oak are in talks with Kit Sponsors Umbro for an extension deal, footballghana.com can report.

Nicknamed the Phobians, the capital-based outfit in 2018 signed a three-year contract with the globally renowned kit producers during the time Mark Noonan was the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Unfortunately, in the next three months, the deal will expire all too soon.

Today, sources have disclosed that Umbro has been impressed with Hearts of Oak’s recent rise and as a result, the club has been contacted for an extension.

Checks confirm that officials of both parties are already discussing the terms of the new contract and could be wrapped up in the next few weeks ahead of the 2021/2022 football season.

It is understood that the new deal will be for three years and Hearts of Oak will benefit hugely once the contract is signed.

The good news comes on the back of the club’s outstanding display in the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup.

For the first time in 21 years, the Rainbow outfit has won the double and established the fact that they are the most successful club in the country.
